As many are aware, during September and October of the year, various communities across Laos celebrate the traditional Boat Racing Festival. This cultural event has deep roots in Lao society and it is an important occasion for community gathering and celebration.
This year, starting from September, NT1PC was proud to support several Boat Racing Festivals within our project area. The supported events included:
- Donexay Village, Pakkading District, Bolikhamxay Province
Supported from 13–14 September 2025, with a contribution of 5,000,000 LAK - Phonchaluen Village, Pakkading District, Bolikhamxay Province
Supported from 27–28 September 2025, with a contribution of 5,000,000 LAK - Bolikhamxay Provincial Boat Racing Event
Organized by the Bolikhamxay Provincial Government Office, held from 5–7 October 2025
NT1PC contributed 10,000,000 LAK
In addition, we supported racing boat athletes from two of our targeted villages in the Viengthong joining the annual Boat Racing Festival:
- Namyang Village – 1,500,000 LAK
- Mueangmuan Village – 3,000,000 LAK
The Boat Racing Festival is a cherished tradition that has long been part of Lao culture. We are proud to contribute to preserving and promoting this important heritage within our communities.
