On the afternoon of 25 September 2025, Nam Theun 1 Power Company Limited (NT1PC), led by Mr. Bounnhang Phengsouvanh, Government Relations Advisor, hosted a special luncheon to celebrate the achievements of students supported by NT1PC’s scholarship program.
The event was honored by the participation of Mr. Aphisit Sengsoulivong, Head of the Enterprise Management Department, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, along with his team, who serve as valued coordination partners in overseeing the scholarship program. The luncheon brought together both recent graduates from the Class of 2025 and current students still pursuing their studies under the program.
NT1PC’s scholarship initiative supports students from the project’s targeted districts — Pakkading and Viengthong in Bolikhamxay Province. Launched during the construction phase, the program has provided scholarships to 25 students pursuing diploma and bachelor’s degrees, both domestically and internationally. Since its inception, 20 students have successfully graduated, including five in 2025, while three students are still continuing their education.
This gathering served as an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and success of the graduates. At the same time, Mr. Bounnhang offered advice and guidance on future career paths for the students.
