Demonstrating its continued commitment to improving local healthcare, Nam Theun 1 Power Company Limited supported two important training programs for medical staff from Chom Thong Health Center, Viengthong District, Bolikhamxay Province in April and May 2025.
In April, the company provided 7,891,000 kip to fund a 13-day on-site blood analysis training at Viengthong District Hospital. Held over three periods—April 7–11, 21–25, and 28–30—the training combined theoretical and practical instruction on blood testing equipment, analysis techniques, and accurate interpretation of results. This initiative was designed to strengthen diagnostic capabilities at the Chom Thong Health Center and improve service delivery for the local population.
Continuing this effort in May, Nam Theun 1 Power Company contributed an additional 24,980,000 kip to support echocardiography training for two staff members from the same health center. Conducted over 20 days from May 5 to 24 at Bolikhamxay Provincial Hospital, the program focused on the use of echocardiography equipment, image interpretation, and diagnostic accuracy. This training also blended theory with hands-on experience to ensure participants gained practical, applicable skills.
