Between 28–30 October 2025, Nam Theun 1 Power Company Limited (NT1PC) conducted a one-year guarantee inspection of several community infrastructure projects, including the community shop in Pakkading District; slope protection works in Huayhoy Resettlement Village and Meungmuan Intra-Moving Villages; and the animal husbandry fence in Huayhoy Village. These projects were implemented by Phonesack Group Ltd. (PSG) under the NT1 Hydropower Project (NT1HPP) Restoration Plan, reaffirming NT1PC’s commitment to supporting infrastructure development in target communities.
As the implementing partner, Phonesack Group Ltd. engaged LSEP and Phonexay-Kaisone Construction Company as contractors for the respective scopes of work. The one-year guarantee inspection aimed to assess construction quality, identify defects, and recommend any necessary repairs or maintenance following project completion.
The inspection was joined by representatives from NT1PC (as the project owner), PSG, LSEP, Phonexay-Kaisone Construction Company, Pakkading and Viengthong District Working Groups, District Offices of Public Works and Transport, District Agriculture and Forestry Offices, and village authorities from Pakkading Tai, Huayhoy, and Meungmuan Villages, along with the head of animal husbandry from Huayhoy Village.
On 28 October 2025, the inspection team visited the community shop in Pakkading District. Of the 11 construction items reviewed, three required repairs — specifically, wall plastering, electrical systems, floor concreting, and office equipment installation. The contractors agreed to complete all rectifications by 10 November 2025.

On 29 October 2025, the team proceeded to Viengthong District to inspect the slope protection structures in Huayhoy and Mueangmuan Villages. The inspection found several sections affected by landslides, with visible cracks and scratches on the retaining walls. Further technical testing will be conducted to determine whether these damages stem from construction quality issues or design limitations, in order to define responsibilities and plan appropriate repairs.

On 30 October 2025, the team inspected the animal husbandry fence in Huayhoy Village, which spans five zones. Some sections were found damaged by falling trees, while parts of the barbed wire showed signs of rust. The contractor agreed to repair the damaged sections, and, together with the head of animal husbandry, will re-inspect the fence to agree on replacing the sections where rust is confirmed. After the inspection, the team convened to summarize the findings and agree on corrective actions. Additionally, the team emphasized the importance of community participation, encouraging local authorities to mobilize villagers to take ownership in maintaining and preserving the fences for long-term use.

The one-year guarantee inspection reaffirmed NT1PC’s dedication to sustainable community development and quality assurance across its restoration projects. Through close collaboration with implementing partners, local authorities, and community members, NT1PC continues to ensure that infrastructure investments effectively contribute to the well-being and resilience of its target communities.
